Subcielo KiteSchool Tarifa was born in Tarifa from a genuine passion for kitesurfing, wind and teaching. Since 2005 we have been teaching this sport and supporting people who want to discover it and progress on the water.
In 2010, Subcielo was officially founded as a kitesurfing school in Tarifa. Since then, we have helped hundreds of students take their first steps with a kite and progress towards increasingly independent riding.
Over the years, we have built a school closely connected to Tarifa and to its way of experiencing kitesurfing. Our teaching approach is based on safe progression, personal attention and adapting each session to the student's actual level and the conditions of the day.
That experience is the foundation of the way we work today: teaching with sound judgement, without rushing and with the aim of helping every student gain confidence, independence and the ability to enjoy kitesurfing safely.
At Subcielo, we have a team of kitesurfing instructors with experience in teaching. Manuel and Victoria are present in the day-to-day running of the school and are directly involved in teaching to provide a personal, consistent and professional experience.

Kitesurfing instructor in Tarifa since 2005, Level 2 instructor and experienced rider. He teaches students from beginner to advanced levels, adapting each session to their actual level and the conditions of the day.

At Subcielo, we don't follow the same lesson plan for everyone. Before getting on the water, we take into account your experience, your level and the conditions we have that day in Tarifa.
Our teaching is progressive and adapted to each student. We work on the content and exercises that correspond to your level, from kite control and safety to riding and technical improvement.
Our goal is for every step to make sense and for you to build confidence gradually. We prefer solid progression rather than trying to move forward too quickly.
Every student starts from a different point. We adapt the session to what you can actually do and the goals you want to work on.

For us, safety is not something added at the end of a lesson. It is part of how we work from the very beginning. Before each session, we take into account the wind, sea conditions and the actual level of each student to decide how to approach the day.
We work with well-maintained equipment and adapt each session to the conditions and the experience of the person in front of us. If the wind or sea conditions are not suitable, we look for the safest and most useful option for that day.
We have been teaching kitesurfing in Tarifa since 2005 and know first-hand how conditions and the needs of each student can change. That experience has taught us that there is no single way to approach every day or to teach every person.
We know the beaches, changes in the wind and the particularities of the different spots. This local knowledge helps us assess where it makes the most sense to run each session.
We want everyone who comes to Subcielo to learn to enjoy kitesurfing with confidence, but also to understand the environment and know how to behave in the water with respect for others and for the beaches of Tarifa.
